A TRIP TO BADRINATH

BADRINATH : Badrinath is a sacred and holy place in Uttarakhand Chamoli district. It is very sacred and pious for Hindu people. Lord vishnu is the main God of this place. It is also called Alkapuri.

           

                People find tranquility and unforgettable scenic and religious view of this place that their heart is not ready to go back to their native places.surroundings of this place is covered by snow clad peaks of mountain. Mythologically the name of mountains are Nar and Narayan.

Places to see at Badrinath:

• Badrinath temple. In this temple in garabh griha you will see lord vishnu ji idol.
• Tapt kund here pilgrim takes a bath in natural warm water. This pond water is considered very sacred and people have believe that after taking bath in this pond their all sin is over.
  
• Alaknanda river which is flowing by touching the feet of lord Badrinath.

Near by places to visit :

• Mana village which is just 3k.m away. This village is last village of india.
•  Saraswati river originated place. 

•   Vyas cave where vyas ji constructed the sacred granth of hindus THE MAHABHARTA.

Best time to visit: May , june, sept and October.

Weather : Mostly you will find  20°C in the day time in may to oct. At night temp. may be near 5°C. Mostly there is bitter chill at night.

Cloths: warm clothes are required because shivering can be felt here.

Oxygen level: Oxygen is less than plain areas due to high altitude. So , those visitors who have breathing problem they must keep inhaler and others related medicines.

How to reach there:

 From Rishikesh to badrinath distance is 295.3 k.m by road.
Near by airport is jolly grant airport of Dehradun which is  20.8 k.m.
 Most of the pilgrims reach there by their own vehicles but govt.buses also operates from Rishikesh.
